And the Essay Prize 2025 Goes To...

The Essay Prize Competition 2025 has now concluded. (Drumroll, please.)

We are delighted to announce that this year's Essay Prize has been awarded to Antonia Mitrenga for her outstanding essay, "Regressive Perspectives in a Modern Story: How The Iliad Exposes Madeline Miller's Adaptation, The Song of Achilles, as an Endorsement of Hegemonic Masculinity and Heteronormativity." Congratulations on this excellent achievement!

We are pleased to present Antonia Mitrenga with a voucher generously provided by our sponsor, buchbar Erfurt, and we wish her all the best in her future literary and academic endeavours.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all students who submitted essays to this year's competition. We greatly appreciate the time and care that went into each contribution, and we encourage all participants to keep up their good work and consider submitting again next year.
