Information from the organisers

In 2026, five Thuringian higher education institutions – the University of Erfurt, Bauhaus University Weimar, Ilmenau University of Technology, Erfurt University of Applied Sciences and Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences Jena – will join forces for the first time to jointly organise the TYPO3 University Days. The event will take place at the University of Erfurt.

The event brings together people who use, develop or are strategically responsible for TYPO3 in a higher education context – from editors and developers to those in charge of web and digital operations.

The focus is on the latest developments relating to TYPO3, practical experiences from everyday university life and the exchange of ideas on shared challenges. Topics include TYPO3 v14, relaunch projects, multi-client installations, barrier-free accessibility, governance, editorial processes, and issues relating to long-term maintainability and system architecture.

The TYPO3 University Days are not just about talks and workshops. Above all, they offer the opportunity to engage in conversation with colleagues from other universities, exchange experiences and learn from one another. Many challenges are similar – but the solutions often are not. This is precisely where the event’s special added value lies.
