University of Erfurt hosts the 9th International Conference of the German Society for Cognitive Linguistics

At the Department of Linguistics of the Faculty of Philosophy, Prof. Beate Hampe and Prof. Anja Binanzer ( Hannover) welcome more than 140 linguists from 19 countries to the 9th International Conference of the German Cognitive Linguistics Association (DGKL/GCLA) from today until 4 March.

Seven plenary lectures, two workshops and a further 15 lecture blocks will be dedicated to the theoretical and methodological challenges facing cognitive linguistics as an interdisciplinary research paradigm.

"Even if the event has to take place digitally due to Corona, we are looking forward to the exchange," explains Beate Hampe and at the same time emphasises:

"The DGKL/GCLA conference strongly supports peacemaking international cooperation in science and declares its solidarity with Ukraine and the courageous Russian opposition."
