Justus Henze and Max Wilken from the Berlin "research and think tank" Communia e.V. are guests in Jena at the Collaborative Research Centre "Structural Change of Property" and discuss the topic "Socialisation of the (Re-)Means of Production" with Silke van Dyk and Tilman Reitz at Café Wagner.

About steelworks and hospitals as democratically managed commons". Communia e.V. develops strategies for a democratic economy and socialisation projects. They recently published the concept paper "Socialisation of the steel industry as a crisis and transformation solution". The authors argue that an ecological transformation of the steel industry with the switch to green hydrogen will only be possible beyond private profit interests. Among other things, they refer to IG Metall's demands from the 1980s to socialise the steel industry as a highly concentrated key industry. The aim of the event will be to bring industrial policy approaches to socialisation into discussion with approaches to socialisation in the area of social services of general interest - for example in the health sector.
