Course Details

The dual degree programme in Mathematics aims to provide students with sound knowledge and skills in mathematics. Mathematical thinking is fostered through a balanced combination of the relevant subject matter. Particular emphasis is placed on the significance of mathematical relationships for society.

In the course of their studies, students learn:

  • to familiarise themselves with various mathematical disciplines and their methods,
  • to solve mathematical problems independently,
  • to reflect on mathematical topics as well as teaching and learning processes,
  • to understand and apply didactic and methodological concepts.

The content and objectives of the school-based placement are set out in the relevant modules and are carried out in collaboration with the practice partner (training school). The university supports students throughout their qualification process and helps them to reflect on their experiences.
