Area of competence: Professional orientation and career planning

Description

What career path is right for you, and how do you identify the skills that will get you there?

Through guided self-reflection and peer interaction, this workshop helps you answer these critical questions. You'll analyse your professional profile to gain clarity on your transferable skills, values, and career preferences - and learn how to communicate them effectively.

This workshop is for you if you're:

  • Considering an academic career
  • Exploring non-academic options
  • Still undecided about your direction

What you'll gain: You'll develop practical skills for career decision-making, including how to assess your strengths and independently gather and analyse information about career paths that interest you. The workshop balances self-reflection with actionable guidance, ensuring you leave with a personalised action plan and concrete next steps.

Pre-workshop requirement: 2 hours of individual preparation work
