Thuringian University Network for Sustainability: Tackling global challenges together

Launch of the Thuringian University Network for Sustainability by the ten state universities in Thuringia. As a joint strategic alliance, the universities are actively addressing global challenges such as climate change, loss of biodiversity and social inequalities and are committed to ensuring decent living conditions and realising global justice

Sustainability as a central social task of the present. In the Thuringian University Network for Sustainability (Thüringer Hochschulnetzwerk Nachhaltigkeit), the state universities in Thuringia are committed to playing an active role in the transformation process towards sustainable development. The social responsibility of the universities lies in teaching, research, operations, transfer and governance.
