Author reading: "I want to drink coffee with you in heaven"

The book is a literary declaration of love to a great poet and to all the wonders that life has in store. It tells the story of Elisa, who has always managed to cope with her catastrophic life. And she easily tells the poet Mascha Kaléko, whom she admires so much, about difficult things, about her time in a home, homeless on Cologne's “Domplatte”, always in search of security, which for a long time she only found in books. But she also talks about her unconditional longing for love, her preference for small thatched-roof houses, frothy cappuccino, books, men, friendship and, above all, the fact that anything is possible.

The author
Sarah Lorenz was born in Eckernförde in 1984 and lives and writes in St Pauli (Hamburg). She is a trained bookseller and studied social work. She wrote the column PMS-Ultras for the "taz" newspaper. On the internet, she puts people to bed every night under the pseudonym Buchi Schnubbel (approx. 14,000 followers). "Mit dir, da möchte ich im Himmel Kaffee trinken" is her debut novel.
