New transcription function available in the Uni Erfurt Cloud

The University of Erfurt is expanding its digital services: An integrated transcription function is now available in the Uni Erfurt Cloud. Employees can use it to convert audio files into text quickly and easily.

It's easy to use: after logging in to the Uni Erfurt Cloud and uploading the desired file, users can select the newly added "Transcription" function in the options menu (via the three dots) to start automatic transcription. The text file (with the extension .txt) is then saved under the same file name under "Persönliche Dateien". The time required depends on the length of the file to be transcribed.

As the demand for transcription services has been very high in the past, this new function offers a practical alternative to external solutions. It can help to reduce the effort for transcriptions and avoid additional costs, for example for the purchase of external transcription contingents.
