General admission requirements for undergraduate degree programmes

To take up studies at the University of Erfurt you need a valid university entrance qualification. For the undergraduate bachelor's programmes (Bachelor's and Magister Catholic Theology), according to § 67 Thuringian higher education act (ThürHG), access is possible with one of the following educational pathways:

Studying with Abitur / subject-linked higher education entrance qualification

Studying without an Abitur - Admission to higher education for those with vocational qualifications

Studying with a first university degree

Higher education entrance qualification obtained abroad

Note for international student applicants (NON-EU)

Prospective international students from NON-EU countries who have acquired their higher education entrance qualification/secondary school leaving certificate abroad apply to the University of Erfurt as international students using a separate form via the International Office.
