The University of Erfurt, in cooperation with the Jewish Life Network, invites you to a public lecture by Dr Francesco Ferrari. Under the title "Idea and Realisation: Martin Buber and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem", the speaker will shed light on the multi-layered relationship between the Austrian-Israeli Jewish religious philosopher Martin Buber and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Admission is free.

Martin Buber's relationship with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem unfolded over several decades and can be traced in four phases, which together form a picture of intellectual closeness, responsibility and lasting influence. Dr Francesco Ferrari will trace this picture in his lecture.

The speaker is an Associate Fellow at the Max-Weber-Kolleg at the University of Erfurt and has long been involved as a researcher in the socio-political thinking of the Jewishreligious philosopher Martin Buber.
