Information from the organisers
How independent is our use of artificial intelligence in lecturers? What data do AI systems collect in the background? These questions are addressed in a practical online talk by Ludwig Lorenz as part of Talks@eTeach.
In the article, Ludwig Lorenz provides insights into the Open Model Lab project and highlights the potential of open source AI systems to strengthen digital sovereignty. A comparison is also made with proprietary solutions, including in terms of data protection, sustainability and possible applications in teaching. In addition, various AI architectures, such as RAG systems, will be introduced.
In addition to theoretical impulses, participants will have the opportunity to try out local AI models themselves as part of a hands-on phase. A subsequent discussion round will provide space for questions and dialogue.
The event is aimed at advanced AI enthusiasts.
