A new book by Martin Mulsow and Dirk Sangmeister entitled "Aufklärung und Residenzstadt" (Enlightenment and Residential City) has been published by Wallstein-Verlag in 2026 and deals with intellectual Gotha around 1800.
Gotha was often overshadowed by Weimar, but also had intellectual diversity around 1800."
