"Schnack im Park" is part of the "Difference – Transformation -–Cohesion" reappraisal project, a cooperation between the City of Erfurt and the University of Erfurt. The organising association is “Blinde Flecken”. The event aims to bring people together in conversation and create space for self-advocacy, remembrance culture and encounters, with the aim of addressing people from Erfurt's urban society who are otherwise less likely to come into contact with political issues. Among other things, the programme includes
- speeches by “Blinde Flecken”, “LIGA Selbstvertretung” and the University of Erfurt, which will commemorate the Algerian pogrom of 1975;
- the theatre play "The Trap" by Lebanese author and actor Riadh Ben Ammar (Theatre for Freedom of Movement) will discuss the situation at the EU's external border;
- live music by Önder and the Ukrainian choir "De Libertate";
- DJ sets by Andrés (house) and Lilac (techno) as well as
- contributions from other initiatives and self-advocacy groups.
