Birthday presents to Wikipedia

Together with more than 30 other cultural and educational institutions, the Gotha Research Library of the University of Erfurt is taking part in a joint campaign to mark the 25th anniversary of Wikipedia, the world's largest free collection of knowledge, by donating 25 pieces of previously unlicensed content to the free online encyclopaedia, which will be published on Wikimedia Commons on 15 January 2026. The Gotha Research Library is thus actively contributing to the further development of free, reliable knowledge.
