The Institute for Planetary Health Behaviour (IPB) is delighted to welcome two leading academics from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy as new members: Prof. Dr. Andreas Goldthau, Director of the Willy Brandt School, and Prof. Dr. Achim Kemmerling, Vice Director of the School.

Prof. Dr. Andreas Goldthau is Franz Haniel Professor of Public Policy. He conducts research on global energy policy, governance and equity issues in the energy transition, and the geoeconomics of climate and transformation processes.

Prof Dr Achim Kemmerling is Gerhard Haniel Professor of Public Policy and International Development. His research focuses on the political economy of social inequality, tax and social policy, state performance and governance as well as the emergence of political preferences and institutional change.

With the addition of the two colleagues, the Institute for Planetary Health Behaviour is expanding its interdisciplinary expertise in the areas of governance, energy policy, social change and transformation research. The close connection between the Willy Brandt School and the IPB enables a systematic linking of public policy analyses, institutional governance and behavioural science approaches.

We warmly welcome Andreas Goldthau and Achim Kemmerling to the institute and look forward to our scientific collaboration.
