The conference, which will kick off on 12 January with a keynote address by the Israeli researcher Zef Segal, will summarise discussions that have emerged from the digitisation project and also move beyond them: a particular focus of the conference will be the complex interplay between concepts of territoriality and cartographic works, which often calls into question seemingly unambiguous definitions on closer inspection.
The event is open to members of the university - however, due to limited space and the volatile pandemic situation, restrictions on participation may have to be made. To participate in the event, registration via email to claudia.berger@uni-erfurt.de is required.
