This year, the University of Erfurt's Founders Service took part for the first time together with colleagues from the Thuringian university start-up network StarTH took part in the Eastside Heroes Festival × MENT Media Night 2025.
On 24 September 2025, the festival impressively demonstrated how much entrepreneurial energy there is in eastern Germany: founders, doers and investors came together to make ideas visible, share ideas and make new contacts.
As part of the event, the university start-up services had the opportunity to propose start-ups from their regions for the pitch stage. The University of Erfurt's Founders Service recommended the Erfurt start-up KleinDaHeim, which it supervises and which was represented by Andreas Pfestroff and Saskia Kühn.
With their pitch on the topic of "affordable housing in Thuringia", they made a strong statement in favour of innovative solutions with social relevance and were able to convince the audience of their idea.
We are delighted that KleinDaHeim represented the University of Erfurt and Thuringia's start-up landscape so impressively - and are looking forward to the next steps in our collaboration within the StarTH network and to further inspiring start-up ideas with (social) impact from and for our region.
