The consequences of the Trump administration for policy cooperation with the Global South.

We are welcoming a group of U.S. students invited by RIAS Commission Berlin to discuss the political turmoil surrounding the Trump administration. What do tariffs, USAID cuts, and attacks on liberal institutions mean for transatlantic cooperation — and how are these rifts viewed from the Global South?

The meeting will offer chances to exchange information, network, and explore funding opportunities despite growing global challenges.

RIAS Commission Berlin supports students in journalism, social sciences, and public policy. Founded as a transatlantic initiative, it is linked to outlets like DeutschlandRadio and Deutsche Welle.
