New publication: Accompanying volume to the exhibition "Zeichnung und Verantwortung"

The exhibition "Drawing and Responsibility" with works by the artist duo "Druzhba Pankow" was opened in Montabaur this weekend. Behind the artist's name is a working group of the Berlin illustrators Alexandra Kardinar and Volker Schlecht. In their exhibition they show works from more than 20 years of working as illustrators, graphic designers and filmmakers.

The exhibition is part of the series "Denkbarares" (Thinkable), organised by Prof. Dr. Dr. Holger Zaborowski, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Erfurt, and Martin Ramb, Head of the Department for Religious Education, Media and Culture in the Episcopal Ordinariate of the Diocese of Limburg. Together they have published a volume accompanying the exhibition.

The subtitle of the "Thinkable" series is "Encounters with People and Books". "One could add: 'and with art and music'", says Holger Zaborowski. "Because that's exactly what it's all about: encounters and a dialogue about questions that are often repressed, but which arise again and again, such as the question of the connection between drawing and responsibility."

The exhibition will be on view until 27 September at b05 Kunst- und Kulturzentrum association e.V. in Montabaur. From 21 January to 4 March 2021 it will also be shown at Haus am Dom in Frankfurt am Main.
