The fact that media education is one of the tasks of schools is now widely recognised (and also anchored in the curriculum). Accordingly, universities are also expected to train teachers who are competent in media education. After all, only teachers who are well qualified in media education can successfully use media to organise lessons and promote their students' competent use of media. But how can media education succeed in teacher training? How have we implemented media education in academic teacher training so far (in an integrated manner)? What still needs to be done and how can we tackle this?
After inputs on the current curricular anchoring of media education in schools and academic teacher training in Thuringia, all interested parties are cordially invited to participate in this discussion forum with workshop character.
