Offer from University Health Management

Flu vaccination 9 am–1 pm | C21 (KIZ), room 0.09
The flu vaccination is being offered again this year by Dr Winkler’s GP practice in Jena. In addition, booster vaccinations against tetanus and tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) are also available. Protect yourself and others, and help to strengthen public health at the University of Erfurt!

If you’re unsure which vaccinations are suitable for you, the STIKO vaccination calendar (Standing Committee on Vaccination) can help. For a little something to eat after your vaccination, you can enjoy some Energyballs from the “Techniker Krankenkasse” at the KIZ.

Please register by emailing gesundheit@uni-erfurt.de. If you are registering for a flu vaccination, please let us know if you are over 60 years old.

Cardio stress test (Die Techniker) | 8 am–4 pm | C19 – “Weltbeziehungen” research building, room C19.02.46
Negative stress is a widespread risk factor, particularly in the modern workplace, which can lead to health problems and illness in the long term. Elevated stress levels can be easily detected through heart activity. To determine your individual stress level, we will measure your heart activity for 2 minutes whilst you are seated, using a high-resolution ECG machine. The analysis provides a meaningful result (stress index), which in turn forms the basis for personalised coaching. Depending on their needs and objectives, participants will receive easy-to-follow tips and exercises for stress management that take effect quickly and can be specifically applied in the workplace.

Registration is via the Techniker-Krankenkasse. >> Book an appointment!

Back Analysis Board (Debeka) | 8 am–4 pm | C02, room C02.01.54
The back analysis board enables a quick analysis of the back, abdominal and core muscles. During an individual consultation lasting around 15 minutes, strength measurements are taken to assess the performance of the back extensors, the upper back muscles and the lateral abdominal muscles. Participants then receive a personalised evaluation of their results, along with individual recommendations for strengthening their muscles and preventing back problems.

Hybrid lecture: “Organ donation – the decision is crucial” | 1–2 pm | C21 (KIZ), room 0.10
The decision for or against organ donation is one of the most important and personal issues of our time. Yet despite its great significance, there are often uncertainties, unanswered questions or a lack of information. In this lecture by Dr Torsten Meinig, participants will receive a clear and unbiased overview of the topic of organ donation: How does the donation process work? What criteria must be met? Which myths persist – and what does the medical reality tell us? The talk offers guidance, dispels common misconceptions and shows how everyone can make a self-determined decision. The aim is to impart knowledge, allay fears and provide a clear perspective on the opportunities and challenges of organ donation.
