Doctoral Scholarships from the Thuringian State Graduate Support

The University of Erfurt awards up to four scholarships to doctoral candidates from the funds of the Thuringian State Graduate Support Programme starting on 1 April 2027.

The doctoral scholarships are awarded to support outstanding doctoral projects within the structured Erfurt Doctoral and Postdoctoral Programme (EPPP) of the certified graduate centres and the Max-Weber-Kolleg. Information on the graduate centres and the Max-Weber-Kolleg can be found here.

Financial support of €1,400 per month, plus a possible family allowance, will be granted for a period of three years and may be extended by one additional year upon application.

Application deadline: 24 November 2026, 11:59 p.m. CET. Funding will begin on 1 April 2027, and no later than 1 July 2027. Please send your application documents to graduiertenfoerderung@uni-erfurt.de.
