The doctoral candidates of the Forschungskolleg presented their current research projects together with academic coordinator Dominic Keyßner in the historic setting of Friedenstein Castle. The subsequent exchange focused on the question of how research can have a social impact - and thus on the core of "The Case" programme, which imparts practice-oriented knowledge about transfer and impact in the GSK.
The route to the research college led through the autumn-coloured Gotha Castle Park and created an inspiring atmosphere on the way there.
A special detail in passing: on the way to Gotha, we happened to meet former Vice-Chancellor Franz Müntefering at Erfurt Central Station. A coincidence steeped in history - after all, it was in Gotha in 1875 that two labour parties merged, giving rise to today's SPD.
The Founders Service would like to thank the Forschungskolleg for the invitation, the open exchange and the great interest in the topic of research transfer.
