The Max-Weber-Kolleg

... combines the functions of an Institute for Advanced Study, where fellows work on interdisciplinary research projects for a limited period of time, and a permanent Research Training Group, which provides early-stage researchers with a structured doctorate or postdoctoral researcher phase. It pursues a Weberian research programme that can be briefly characterised as interdisciplinary and comparative cultural and social sciences with great historical depth and an interest in normative questions using social science, historical and hermeneutic methods.
