In this workshop you will learn how to select and prepare research data for publication, where and how to publish it and how to maximise the visibility of your publications and inspire your colleagues and the community. It consists of two parts, which together illustrate our "learning by doing" approach.

Part 1: Learning
Basics and definitions
Guidelines of third-party funders for data publication
Suitable formats
Data publication (repositories, persistent identifiers, licensing)
Increased visibility: linked data, references, metadata, documentation, personal PID

Part 2: Doing
We prepare data and publish it in the Zenodo Sandbox

Practice data sets are provided. Participants can also bring their own datasets if they wish.
