Fellowships for innovation in digital university teaching

The Thuringian Ministry of Economics, Science and Digital Society and the Stifterverband are inviting applications for up to ten fellowships for innovation in digital university teaching for teachers working at state-run universities in the Free State of Thuringia.

The aim of the programme is:

  • To create incentives for the development and testing of digitally supported teaching and examination formats (for example MOOCS, flipped/inverted classroom, games, simulations, e-examinations) or the curricular redesign of modules and study sections with the consistent use of digital technologies;
  • to promote the exchange on (digital) higher education teaching and the dissemination of the teaching innovations developed by networking the fellows across higher education institutions;
  • to contribute to the consolidation of digital university teaching in the universities themselves.

The fellowships are individual, personalised grants that provide the fellows with the freedom and resources they need to implement their teaching innovations. The project funding begins on 1 October 2021, the funding period ends on 31 December 2022. Materials or procedures created in the funded project are to be made available as Open Educational Resources (at least under the CC BYNC 3.0 DE licence) to other teachers across higher education institutions using central and easily accessible platforms for subsequent use or further development.
