University of Erfurt supports Zia Fellowship for a female postdoctoral researcher

The University of Erfurt is a partner of ZEIT publishing house's Zia – Visible Women in Science Fellowship programme, which provides targeted support for young female scientists in their career and personal development. In the next round of the programme, which starts in October 2026, the university can support the scientific career of a female postdoctoral researcher with a fellowship, i.e. cover the costs of the fellowship. The application deadline at the University of Erfurt is 14 June.

The one-year programme gives fellows the opportunity to further their professional and personal training and development and to increase their own visibility. The programme offers workshops, digital impulses and round tables, intensive networking and access to selected courses at the “ZEIT Akademie”. Fellows can also take part in the annual Zia Congress and other ZEIT events. Applications are open to postdoctoral researchers who are employed at the University of Erfurt until at least 31 December 2027, conduct outstanding research, work on socially relevant topics of the future, want to increase their visibility in a targeted manner and are looking for interdisciplinary exchange and active networking.
