At the University of Erfurt, more than 600 employees in research and teaching as well as in the administrative area ensure that the university, with its approximately 6000 students, can successfully assert itself as one of the most important educational institutions in the region.
Not only as a place to study, but also as a workplace, the university is exciting, versatile and keeps up with the times in the lively scientific landscape. The University of Erfurt relies on its excellently qualified staff and supports them in various personnel development measures and through further training in order to meet the daily challenges in the competition for resources and minds.
In November 2025, the University of Erfurt was awarded the "Thuringian Seal for Healthy Work" for its health promotion measures.
The seal is awarded to companies and public service organisations that voluntarily undergo an examination of their health-promoting measures based on defined criteria. After successfully completing the certification process, the University of Erfurt achieved the highest "Gold" level at the first attempt.
