As part of its research promotion, the University of Erfurt offers its scientists advice and assistance in their applications for third-party funds, the realisation of academic events, and the general profiling of their research projects at the university. Thus, individual projects can be drawn up, hand in and implemented more accurate and swiftly, while the promotion of academic events aims to underline the university’s position in the (inter)national research. Aside from in-house funding based on standardised and in parts with set deadlines application procedures for individual and group projects, the Research and Graduate Services offers strategical consulting and support for all forms of reseach funding applications.
Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to apply for uni-internal funding for project initiatives and co-financing of events.
This funding opportunity is aimed at all university teachers and post-doctoral researchers who are members of the University of Erfurt and are planning or intending to apply for an individual project or project proposal to be carried out at the University of Erfurt. The funding format can be used to support third-party funded projects or projects on a small scale.
Funding of up to 1,000 euros is possible in each case. Supplementary funding can be applied for in the form of funds for personnel (additional posts or auxiliary staff), material resources, funds for contracts for work and services, travel costs and funds for workshops. All activities must be completed within one year.
Funding for the Research and Graduate Services is subject to available funds and a positive review of the project by a member of the Research Committee. Support can only be claimed as supplementary funding if the project is simultaneously financed by an external funding body (third-party funding).

The award decision is made after the application has been reviewed by the Research and Graduate Services by a vote of a member of the Senate Commisson for Research and Graduate Services. Please allow for a processing time of approximately three weeks!
