Master of Education Special Needs Pedagogy (phased out)

The Master's programme Teaching Profession Special Needs Pedagogy is designed to last four semesters and can only be taken up in the winter semester.

• the educational science area, to the extent of 24 LP/ECTS, of which 3 LP/ECTS in practical school studies,
  • Diagnostics, assessment and counselling (including internship)
  • Education, classroom management, conflict resolution
  • Psychology of learning and development
  • Educational system, school development and professionalisation in the teaching profession
• the subject didactic area to the extent of 9 LP/ECTS for the basic subject and 18 LP/ECTS for the second subject,
  • one module á 9 LP/ECTS for the basic subject and two or three modules á 18 LP/ECTS for the other general education subject, core subject,
  • Theoretically-oriented courses and subject didactic school placements
  • Subject didactic school internship: regularly plan, conduct and reflect on teaching experiments
• the special education area, with modules on the basics of Special Education and Inclusive Pedagogy as well as the two special education subjects taken in the Bachelor's degree programme, which are to be deepened, totalling 51 LP/ECTS, of which 6 LP/ECTS in practical school studies,
  • The special needs education specialisations are each offered as a module with a total of 12 LP/ECTS for: special focus on mental development, special focus on learning and special focus on emotional and social development.
• the Master's thesis to the extent of 18 LP/ECTS.
