Guest lectureships for literary translators: the University of Erfurt is taking part!

After the successful start in the current winter semester, the German Translator Fund will send 52 literary translators to 40 German universities and colleges in the coming summer semester. The University of Erfurt is also benefiting from the programme and welcomes Friederike von Criegern in General and Comparative Literature in the summer semester.

For and with students from a wide range of disciplines, she will introduce them to the profession of literary translation in courses, analyse the latest debates, reflect on theoretical approaches and - of course - translate texts. The qualified expansion of the teaching offer is made possible by funding from the Federal Government's rescue and future programme NEUSTART KULTUR.
