University library now virtually accessible

Just in time for the start of the semester, Erfurt University Library is launching a new service for its users and all other interested parties: a 360° model of the interior.

This means that the university library (UB) can now be virtually visited in 3D and can thus also be explored from a distance. Future users and visitors can already take a look at the workrooms and service areas, the reading rooms and the individual floors and get an idea of the architecture of the building. Individual information points also provide initial information about the library's services. The interactive tour through the building is a virtual extension of the UB's guided tour offer and is not only interesting for newcomers, library and architecture enthusiasts, but will also help new guests such as first-year students and visiting academics to find their way around in advance.
