Course Details

In the major and minor subject of study History you will explore the history of world regions such as Europe, West Asia or North America. In an increasingly globalised world, you will orient yourself towards world regions and cultural areas. This orientation is combined with current cultural studies and social history perspectives in Erfurt to form a course of study that is unique in this form in Germany.

The course of study takes a world-historical perspective and focuses on the world regions represented at the University of Erfurt and European history.

The course of study can be taken in two variants:

  • World History or
  • European history (with section on non-European history).

If you want to study teaching at a regular school, you must choose the variant European History.
