Media and digital literacy are the responsibility of (primary) schools, and basic computing skills are a key aspect of this. This series of workshops offers students and teachers the opportunity to explore, using Lego Education and Scratch, how children can acquire the fundamentals of basic computing skills in a playful and real-life context. This hands-on workshop focuses on hands-on experimentation: participants will have great fun building their own creations and animating and programming them using a graphical, almost intuitive programming interface. However, the question of how this can be successfully implemented in educational practice is also given due attention.
