Buddy programme for international students at the University of Erfurt starts

A "Buddy" programme for international students has now started at the University of Erfurt. The programme connects international full and exchange students with a so-called "buddy", a student at the university who accompanies them on their first steps on campus and in the city and assists them with questions.

"On the one hand, the Buddy programme is intended as a start-up aid during the settling-in phase," explains Bárbara Martins, a staff member in the "Internationalization@home" project of the International Office at the University of Erfurt. "On the other hand, the programme offers international students the opportunity to network more easily on campus. For the buddies, in return, it offers the opportunity to strengthen their own intercultural skills and to meet and exchange ideas with fellow international students*."

Those who would like to become a Buddy or are looking for a Buddy can find more information and register on the programme website.
