Family interests are increasingly taken into account in the service agreement on flexible working hours at the University Erfurt. In individual cases, special working time models can be agreed with employees.

  • Core hours for full-time employees have been established. In justified cases, the core time can be interrupted after consultation with the direct superior.
  • The compensation periods for working time credits were extended.
  • Special leave can also be approved.

The action programme for the "audit family-friendly university" includes a family-conscious session design. This enables employees with family responsibilities to better plan their work and everyday life.

Measures

  • When scheduling meetings, the time corridors of part-time employees and parents are taken into account (mornings, during core childcare hours).
  • Early communication of appointments facilitates family organisation.
  • Tight schedules and moderation limit the duration of meetings (e.g. agenda with time limits).
