Tanja Gangarova introduces community-based participatory research (CBPR) based on her own work and uses this research strategy to illustrate the elements of a participatory research design.

Tanja Gangarova works as a research assistant for the National Discrimination and Racism Monitor (NaDiRa) at the DeZIM Institute in Berlin. Her research focus is on racism in healthcare. She has over 15 years of experience in Community-based Participatory Research (CBPR) and Participatory Action Research (PAR). She is particularly interested in how research can support social justice efforts.
