Two unknown indulgences by Nikolaus von Kues discovered

During archival research on the history of the city of Erfurt and its ecclesiastical institutions in the Middle Ages and early modern period, Frank-Joachim Stewing found two indulgences granted by Nikolaus von Kues to two Erfurt parish churches during his stay in Erfurt in early June 1451 in the library of the Protestant Ministry.

The research was initiated by the Chair of Church History of the Middle Ages and Modern Times at the University of Erfurt (Professor Jörg Seiler).
