Workshop of the event series "Bildung für Demokratie " (Education for Democracy) on the topic "Sexism and anti-feminism at school"

Information from the organisers

The successful mini-series "Adolescence" (Netflix 2025) is about a 12-year-old who normalises misogyny on social media networks to such an extent that he murders a classmate. Since then, more and more voices have been raised that professionals should take their responsibility and the issue seriously. In the UK, for example, the topic has now been firmly integrated into the curriculum. But what exactly does sexism mean - and how does this form of discrimination work in everyday life? Why is anti-feminism and queerophobia so compatible with right-wing (and far-right) discourses? And above all: What can we do about it? This training course provides a toolbox for recognising and acting.
