Open Days of the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt and the University of Erfurt

The University of Applied Sciences Erfurt and the University of Erfurt invite you to the Open Days on Saturday, May 6, 2023. The event starts at 10 a.m. on the university campus in Nordhäuser Str. and at all three campus locations of the UAS (Altonaer Str. 25, Leipziger Str. 77, Schlüterstr. 1) - it ends around 2 p.m.

The study programmes present themselves at various booths and during lectures. The programme also includes laboratory, campus and library tours as well as short lectures. The general student advice and counselling service will also be there, as will student university groups and the Studierendenwerk with tips on housing and financing. And those who would like to get to know Erfurt as a place to study in all its diversity can also take part in a free guided tour of the city on this day.

As a special guest this year, the University of Erfurt welcomes Prof. Dr. Winfried Speitkamp, State Secretary in the Thuringian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. Starting at 11 a.m., he will be on hand to answer questions from prospective students on the subject of teaching profession in Thuringia.

At all three campus locations of the UAS Erfurt the doors are opened to the prospective students to the Open Day. In addition, all disciplines will present themselves centrally at the main campus Altonaer Str., where UAS President Prof. Dr. Frank Setzer will open the Open Day at 10 a.m. And since professional careers begin on the first day of studies, the 2nd Central Career Fair (in German only) will take place at UAS Erfurt - in addition to Open Day - on the day before, May 5, 2023. Already 60 companies have registered to meet prospective students, students and graduates, to talk to them and to show career prospects. Some of the companies will also be present at the Open Day.

And the University of Erfurt is also adding another offer to the Open Day: During the Discovery Days from May 8 to 12, prospective students can attend selected lectures and seminars on campus. The primary aim is not to understand the subject matter presented, but rather to gain an impression of what "studying" means.

Further information and the programme for the Open Day can be found at www.hit-erfurt.de (in German only).
