Information from the organisers
The study "Islamism in East Germany", compiled by Caspar Schliephack, observes a rise in this phenomenon, which is relatively young compared to other forms of extremism. At the same time, support for right-wing extremist positions and parties is also on the rise. Radicalisation research assumes that these supposedly opposing developments are to be understood as co-radicalisation. This theory as well as statistics and reliable figures will be analysed in the panel discussion.
