Boys' Day at the University of Erfurt: Exciting insights into primary school teaching

Boys' Day will take place nationwide on Thursday, 23 April 2026 – a day of action that, like Girls' Day, is about choosing appointments and studies without stereotypes. The University of Erfurt is also taking part again and offering insights into primary school teaching. The event starts at 8.30 am. Registration for boys from year 9 is now open.

"Boys' Day gives pupils the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the diverse world of appointments and break through gender stereotypes. The day enables them to come into contact with social, nursing or educational activities outside of the traditional job profiles, opens up new perspectives and helps them to make an informed decision about their future career," explains Cornelia Hunold, an employee at the Office for Equal Opportunity and Family Services at the University of Erfurt.

So if you are interested in the profession of primary school teacher and would like to know what to expect later in your studies and appointment, the University of Erfurt is the place to be on 23 April. Visitors can expect exciting lectures and impulses, creative workshops and interesting discussion rounds in the subject areas of Mathematics and Social Studies and Science with an educational garden. They can also experiment in the media education workshop and experience the campus live.

You can find more information about "Boys' Day 2026" on our website. If you would like to take part, you can register online by 15 April 2026 via the nationwide Boys' Day radar to register.
