Can LNG provide a solution for Europe’s energy crunch?

In a TV interview with the German science outlet NANO (3SAT), Prof. Dr. Andreas Goldthau commented on the potential of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for replacing Russian gas imports.

Prof. Andreas Goldthau's take on the matter in the interview: an increased diversification of energy import sources may help the EU and Germany to secure energy supply in the future. In the short term, however, additional gas supply through LNG will be difficult to achieve, as much of the globally traded LNG is tied in long-term contracts. Find more here
