Interview with two StarTH scholarship holders

Two perspectives on founding: With the StarTH scholarship, the University of Erfurt supports innovative start-up projects by its students and academic employees. In our new founder portraits, Nele Schöfisch and Sebastian Stöcker tell us how they developed their ideas, overcame challenges and gained valuable experience in the programme.

Introduced in 2024, the StarTH start-up scholarship from the University of Erfurt's Founders Service offers students and academics at the university the opportunity to realise their start-up ideas with professional guidance, time and financial support. The first two scholarship holders of the programme show just how diverse the paths to self-employment can be:

Psychologist and StarTH scholarship holder Nele Schöfisch (M. Sc. Psychology) talks in an interview about the step from her studies to her own start-up idea - and what influence the time during the scholarship had on her path to self-employment. She also reflects on personal learning and tips for prospective founders. Interview with Nele Schöfisch

Media educator and StarTH scholarship holder Sebastian Stöcker (M. A. Children's and Youth Media Studies) reports on how he transformed his experiences from his media education studies into a creative start-up idea - and what impetus the StarTH scholarship gave him for its realisation. Interview with Sebastian Stöcker
