DFGplus to promote proposals and strengthen research

With the DFGplus programme, the Faculty of Education specifically promotes the acquisition of new DFG research projects. The programme combines incentive measures for proposals with internal faculty mentoring by experienced DFG applicants. The aim is to strengthen research ideas and further increase the visibility of faculty research.

With the Faculty's internal funding programme DFGplus , the Faculty of Education is specifically strengthening the acquisition of third-party funding from the German Research Foundation (DFG).

The aim is to increase the number of new proposals submitted and to sustainably promote the quality of the application process.

DFGplus combines two central funding measures:

  1. Incentivising proposal submissions
The Faculty supports its members who independently submit DFG project proposals by offering targeted incentives. In this way, it recognises commitment to the preparation of proposals and creates space for new research ideas.
  2. Structural support through mentoring
Experienced DFG applicants advise colleagues on the planning and development of their projects. Mentoring within the faculty contributes to strengthening proposal expertise and to a culture of mutual scientific feedback.

In the long term, the programme aims to promotethe development of internal faculty networks for coordinated research initiatives and further increase the visibility of the Faculty of Education.
