Changed opening hours over the public holidays

Some service facilities at the University of Erfurt have changed opening hours over the turn of the year. Please take note of this.

Department 1: Registrar's Office
The Student Advisory Service is closed from 22.12.2025 to 02.01.2026.

University Library
The University Library is open from 22 to 23.12.2025 from 9 am to 8 pm (service hours 10 am to 4 pm)
It is closed from 24.12.2025 to 01.01.2026.
On 02.01.2026 it is open from 9 am to 8 pm (service hours 10 am to 4 pm).
From 03.01.2026 the usual opening and service hours will apply again.
The current opening hours of the University Library can also be found on their website.

Gotha Research Library
The Gotha Research Library (including the Perthes Collection) will be closed from 24.12.2025 to 02.01.2026. 
Both will reopen with the regular opening hours on 05.10.2026.

University Computing and Media Centre (URMZ)
The Service Desk and the Thoska Service Office (KIZ) are closed from 22.12.2025 to 02.01.2026.
You can reach the service hotline (+49 361 737 5454):
on 22.12.2025 from 9 am to 12.15 pm and from 1 pm to 3 pm,
on 23.12.2025 from 9 am to 12.15 pm,
on 02.01.2026 from 9 am to 12.15 pm and from 1 pm to 3 pm.

eduroom – Workshop for Media Education
The workshop for media education will be closed from 22.12.2025 and will reopen on 05.01.2026 during regular opening hours at 12 pm.

Language Centre
The service desk of the Language Centre will be closed from 22.12.2025 until 02.01.2026.

Studierendenwerk facilities

  • The cafeteria, the Glasbox and the café "Hörsaal 7" are closed from 20.12.2025 to 02.01.2026. All facilities will be open again regularly from 05.01.2026.
  • The infopunkt in the cafeteria building on campus will be closed from 23.12.2025 to 02.01.2026.
  • The General Social Counselling Service will be closed from 23.12.2025 to 02.01.2026.
  • Psychosocial Counselling hours will be cancelled from 24.12.2025 to 02.01.2026.
  • The Campus-Kinderland daycare centre will be closed from 19.12.2025 to 06.01.2026.
  • The Räuberhöhle (flexible childcare) will be closed from 22.12.2025 to 02.01.2026.
