KEEP Panel featured in children’s economics magazine “weil.”

The latest issue of “weil.” – the economics magazine for children focuses on the topic of decision-making – and the University of Erfurt’s KEEP Panel plays a key role.

How do children and adolescents make decisions? This is the central question the KEEP Panel at the University of Erfurt has been investigating scientifically for several years – and it’s now the focus of the latest issue (02/2025) of “weil. – The economics magazine for children.”

The magazine explores the topic of decision-making from a child’s perspective – from everyday choices like “Pizza or kebab?” to more significant life decisions. In the opening article, “Getting to the Smart Point,” the University of Erfurt’s research project is presented in detail. The editorial team visited the ErfurtLab, spoke with researchers and social psychologists Tilmann Betsch and Stefanie Lindow, and gained exciting insights into the work behind the scenes – from decision-making games and working with children in the lab to the broader aims of the KEEP Panel.

With vibrant photos and a child-friendly approach, the magazine brings science and research on decision-making closer to its young audience in an engaging and accessible way.

The KEEP Panel is part of the Institute for Planetary Health Behaviour (IPB) at the University of Erfurt – an institute dedicated to understanding human behaviour in order to promote health and protect the climate and the environment.
