DAAD funds research project on intercultural German studies for another year

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is supporting the research project "Intercultural German Studies: Impulses for Research and Teaching on Words and Texts" at the University of Erfurt for another year. For this, it has now granted the head of the project, Professor Csaba Földes, a further 40,000 euros in funding.

The project, which was already supported by the DAAD with 145,000 euros from 2014 to 2020, aims to make innovative contemporary concepts from intercultural German studies productive for the partner universities in Moscow and Kolomna by considering interculturality as a cognitive guiding principle. Central research foci are lexicology/lexicography, phraseology and bilingualism/multilingualism against the background of intercultural Germanic linguistics.
