Not everything always goes as planned during your studies. Sometimes crises need to be overcome or changed life situations need to be faced. If this is the case, you will find the right people to talk to at the General Social Counselling Centres (ASB) and the Psychosocial Counselling Centres (PSB) of the Student Services Organisation. You can also take advantage of free legal advice at all locations.
The information centres also provide you with general information about the Student Services Organisation, applications and forms as well as lots of useful information about your place of study.
Studying and private life are not always easy. There are situations in which you need a sympathetic ear or need to sort out your thoughts. The student assistants at the helpline are here to help. The helpline is a low-threshold counselling service – from students for students. Students volunteer to support their fellow students in challenging situations in everyday life or during their studies and help them to structure their own thoughts, create clarity and reflect on themselves.
The helpline is available on 0361 30252964 can be reached. (There are two lines, but no mailbox. Outside "office hours" or if both lines are busy, please simply call again later. Thank you very much!)
The University of Erfurt is continuing to develop its mental health support measures as part of the university health promotion concept with a counselling service. Caring for relatives or an acute care situation in the family environment is often a major challenge for everyone involved and can place a heavy burden on employees in their day-to-day work or students during their studies .
For this reason, the University of Erfurt informs its employees and students with caring responsibilities about various support options.
"There is a space between stimulus and response. In this space lies our power to choose our reaction. In our reaction lies our development and our freedom." (Viktor Frankl)
Conflicts are an everyday occurrence wherever independent people work together. The Human Resources Department is your first point of contact in the event of conflicts in the course of your work. Conflicts are time-consuming, stressful and sometimes restrict your focus on completing the tasks assigned to you. We provide initial counselling and support you in resolving the issues in your areas independently. If this is not successful, there is the option of external counselling or mediation after a concrete clarification of the assignment, because the earlier the conflict is recognised, the greater the chance of positive developments and progress.

However, as the University of Erfurt, it is important to us to resolve these as quickly and constructively as possible. It is therefore important that you quickly find the right contact person for your concerns. In the event of a conflict, it certainly makes sense to first contact the employees affected by the conflict directly. If this is not possible, there are other contact points that you can contact.
